eSIM check - download if country is not included in current phone plan
Download several eBooks to eReader (depends on mood)
Notify bank of travel plans
Write down guesthouse address in small notebook - very important in case phone dies! Write in both English and local language
Download offline maps of area, bookmark guesthouse
Check-in flight
Start packing
Shower
No really, I leave tomorrow, I need to pack!
Read up on things to do in the area
Actually pack (midnight approaches…)
Set alarm
Hopefully sleep
I love a good TO DO list, but no matter how much we prepare, there is an element of chaos in travelling that will ruin even the best laid plans. That’s part of the fun, isn’t it? Riding the wave of change and seeing just where it takes you.
